Furniture removals in Hayes

From one awkward piece to a houseful — the sofas, wardrobes, beds and pianos of Hayes and West Wickham moved with the care they need.

Furniture is where a move gets its dents — literally. The heavy, bulky, awkward pieces are the ones most likely to catch a door frame or a wall if they’re rushed. So we don’t rush them. We measure, we wrap, we take the tricky pieces apart, and we bring enough hands to lift properly.

Whether it’s a single sofa across West Wickham or the entire contents of a Hayes house, the approach is the same: protect the piece, protect your home, and put it back together where you want it.

What we shift

Sofas & big soft furniture

Corner sofas, recliners and bulky armchairs — measured against the doorways first so they actually get through.

Wardrobes & bedroom furniture

Dismantled where they need to be, wrapped, and rebuilt at the other end so nothing’s scratched in transit.

Beds & mattresses

Taken apart, bagged to stay clean, and put back together in the right room.

Pianos & heavy one-offs

The pieces that need proper technique and the right number of hands — uprights, cabinets, safes and the like.

Furniture-removal questions

Can you move a single piece of furniture?

Yes — a single sofa, wardrobe or bed is a common job. It usually runs as a man-and-van booking: one van, the right number of movers, and careful handling through the doors and up the stairs.

Do you move pianos?

We move uprights and cabinet pianos, which need the right technique and enough hands rather than brute force. Tell us the type and where it’s going — including any stairs — and we’ll plan it properly. For a full concert grand we’ll be honest about whether a piano specialist is the safer call.

How do you protect furniture in transit?

Everything is wrapped in blankets and, where it helps, shrink-wrap, then loaded so it can’t shift on the road. Delicate surfaces and corners get extra padding. The aim is simple: it arrives exactly as it left.

Will it fit through my doors?

We check before the day where we can — the width of the piece against the doorways, stairs and turns. If something genuinely won’t make it, we’ll tell you the options (dismantling, a different route) rather than discover it stuck on the landing.
